Chelodina breeding by Gianmarco Odorizzi
Welcome to Chelodina breeding's brand new website! After some years on Facebook, I decided to gather some information and to publish them in a place where more flexibility is achievable.
By clicking on the menu's items you can access the main sections of the site, whose content is summarized below:
A map shows the natural distribution for every known Chelodina species and it is possible to have specific information on some of the species inside the genus by consulting the dedicated pages.
This section of the site contains useful hints to keep Chelodina spp. in captivity and general information on Chelodina genus. You can access the different articles inside the section from the sub-menu.
The husbandry and setup item gives you information on how to properly raise your animals (from newly hatched babies to full adult animals) and some information on how to build an adequate setup are given; in the Incubator article you can find tips on how to build your very own incubator or just on what kind of incubator you should buy to incubate your eggs, while the Diet article lists some good food you can provide in order to have a healthy and balanced diet.
The sexual dimorphism article will help you identify the sex of your snake-necked turtles and you can have an overview of diseases turtles - and especially Chelodina sp. - can develop when kept in captive environment.
In the Gallery you can find a selection of pictures subdivided into different categories. All picture have been taken by me, unless otherwise stated. You're free to use them for non-commercial and commercial purposes on condition that you provide a back-link to this website for credits. To learn more about the licensing of the material on this website, please see the license adopted.
More articles are planned to be released as soon as time permits.
If you find an error or you just want to contribute with your knowledge to this website, please, feel free to mail me at any time.
